Very Important – All patients must read

During the coronavirus outbreak we are open for emergencies only. Your health and safety is of the most importance to us which is why we have implemented the following extra precautions in our practice for your safety.

What all dental practices already do for health and safety:

As dental professionals we continue with our normal routine of:
  • – Changing our gloves and other protective equipment after each patient.
  • – Wipe down all the surfaces, chair, spittoon and handles after each patient.
  • – We open every pack of instruments in front of you so you know they are sterile.
  • – Wash our hands before and after seeing every patient.
  • – Reception surfaces, the card payment machine, waiting areas and communal areas and surfaces are regularly wiped down after use.
  • – All equipment sterilised to HTM01-05 standards as required and disposable items used as much where possible.

What extra precautions we are taking in our practice during the coronavirus outbreak:

  • – We have removed all magazines, newspapers and toys from communal areas.
  • – Once you have checked in you can wait in your car until the dentist or hygienist is ready to see you. One of our team will come to collect you from your car. You can also phone us from your car to check in if you prefer. This ensures any unnecessary contact.
  • – If you choose to wait in the practice each patient will be separated in a different room or area until your appointment time, when a member of our team will come to collect you. This also ensures zero unnecessary contact.
  • – We can even take payment and make any future appointments over the phone from your car if you prefer.
  • – This policy ensures zero unnecessary contact.
  • – We will be screening high risk patients and those over 70 by phone before their appointment and guiding accordingly.
  • – Our nurses, hygienists and members of our team will be opening and closing the surgery doors when you enter and leave to can prevent our patients making unnecessary contact with any surface.
  • – Door handles will be wiped before and after every patient.
  • – As per the government guidelines, if you have a persistent cough or fever, please call the practice to postpone your appointment.
  • – We are regularly checking the British Dental Association (BDA), General Dental Council (GDC), NHS England and Government websites. You can keep informed of any changes or updates via our website, facebook or call us at the practice.

What you can do as patients:

  • – As per the government guildelines, if you have a persistent cough or fever please call to rearrange your appointment.
  • – Sanitise your hands when you enter and leave the practice. If sanitiser is not available at the counter, please use the W.C to wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
  • – As per government guidelines avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • – Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve if you cough or sneeze, throw the tissue in the bin straight away and wash your hands with soap straight afterwards.

Your health and safety is of most importance to us.
